Prevention Step by Step
The title of this section Prevention Step by Step,
requires a certain amount of scrutiny.
Prevention, according to Webster's Unabridged Dictionary
means, "to act in anticipation of, to hinder, to keep from happening."
There are two situations in which someone could seek
to prevent Candida. One, would be those who have never had it; and
two, would be those who have had it and successfully treated it.
Unfortunately, based on the epidemic of Candida that
we are facing in North America, the majority who are actively attempting
to prevent it have already encountered some if not many of its ugly
In either case, the assumption is made for the purposes
of this section that we are not dealing with a current case of Candida.
Rather, we are seeking to prevent its occurrence or reoccurrence.
If you are involved with a current state of Candida,
we recommend that you go to the Treatment Section.
Prevention is obviously a combination of actions we
should take and those we should avoid.
So, just what will prevent Candida?
The immune system is perhaps the most all encompassing
and important defense of the body against fungi, bacteria, viruses,
cancer and other diseases.
THERE IS SIGNIFICANT EVIDENCE
TO INDICATE BASED ON THE INCREDIBLE NUMBER OF SYMPTOMS AND RELATED
DISEASES TO CANDIDA, THAT OUR VERY LIFE DEPENDS ON THE OUTCOME
OF A LIFELONG RACE BETWEEN THE CANDIDA AND OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM'S
ABILITY TO DEFEND AGAINST ITS GROWTH AND TOXINS.
It should be noted that when an immune system is functioning at
optimal level, the likelihood of a Candida overgrowth would be improbable.
So what can we do to obtain that optimal level in our immune system?
What information would we ideally have in our everyday thoughts
to assist us in focusing on our wellness?
